The Dallas Museum of Art recently celebrated one hundred years of connecting art and people.  The Dallas Museum of Art began in 1903 in the "art room" of the Dallas Public Library. From 1936 to 1984, the DMA occupied an Art Deco building located on the Fair Park grounds. During this period, the museum grew from a small regional institution into a major accredited museum with important collections. The current location, situated in Dallas' Arts District, was completed in 1984. Designed by Edward Larrabee Barnes, the new, larger facilities enabled DMA to assume an increased public role, through exhibitions, public programs, and education. In 1993, the museum's facilities underwent expansion. Recently, the DMA established a new commitment to use the collections and exhibitions to communicate and educate. The Museum features an outstanding collection of more than 23,000 works of art from around the world, from ancient to modern, everything visitors can see in one place. I have seen the impressionist exhibit, Chinese art, watercolors, etc. They bring in the most wonderful and world known exhibits. The buildings are very huge and modern. This is what I was feel when I walked in the hall.

They have  objects from around the world : East Asia, the Pacific, the Classical World of Greece and Rome , South Asia,Africa, and pre-Colombian America. They also have a sizable impressionist and modern art collection.

There are two things most interesting about Expressionism: German and Austrian works on paper from the permanent collection. This year, The

DMA has showcase a particularly vital aspect of its collection s in an exhibition of thirty-three prints, drawings, and watercolors by important 20th-century German and Austrian artists. And the other one is long star legacy: the Barrett Collection of early Texas art. Starting in the late 1980s, the Barretts began to build what would become a pioneering collection of contemporary Texas art, carefully selecting fine examples by iconic and lesser-known artists, with an eye toward complementing what the DMA already had in its collections.

This mueum simply awed me. It was so good with a variety of exhibits ranging from modern to ancient. I even explored the children's areas and would definitly recommend it to anyone with kids. It had drawing areas and a place where you could make a rubbing of a turtle or other animals. I'm also enjoyed the Rennisance and Egyptian areas. If you love art , I hope you visit  Dallas Museum of Art. If you come to Dallas because it’s so wonderful and great. They have many events on October 19th  “Late nights” you can stay up late for an evening of mystery and magic. And enjoy the free Starbucks beverages, hay rides. You should get this chance!

You mentioned that there were works by important German and Austrian artists. Could you provide the names of some of them?

Hi Seoyoum, I think your essay will be more interesting if you have expresses your personal feeling about the Museum. Also, it will be better if have avoiding writing about location, hours and holidays days of the Museum. This information makes the reader bored.

The essay need to be more organized if you have giving the physical description of the Museums and how the people react to the Museum.

By the way what do mean by DMA.

I didn’t see any Photo.

Seoyoum, I suggest to you these points for your essay to look more attractive..
1. Give a lead or a catch to your essay, so the readers will not get bored form the beginning
2. You need to concentrate more of the basic rules of writing essay.
3. The self-expression is really important to make the essay looks readable.

GOOD LUCK
